How it works and how to use it
This converter runs entirely in your browser. It first looks each word up in a built-in list of common Roman Urdu words, and for unknown words it maps letters and letter pairs (such as sh, kh, ch) to Urdu characters.
- Type or paste Roman Urdu into the box.
- Press Convert.
- Check the result, then press Copy.
Limitations
Roman Urdu has no fixed spelling, and Urdu script marks sounds that Roman letters do not. Names, rare words and words with the same Roman spelling but different Urdu spellings will often be wrong. Always proofread, and fix mistakes in the Urdu typing tool. Your text is never sent to a server.
