What this tool does
This tool turns a few lines of Urdu into an image that you can share. Type or paste your text, choose a size for WhatsApp status, Instagram or Facebook, pick a background and a font, and download a PNG. Everything is drawn in your browser, so your text and any picture you choose are not uploaded to our server.
How to use it
- Type your text in the box. Press Enter for a new line, because short lines look best on a poster.
- Optionally add a credit line, such as the poet's name.
- Choose the size: tall for WhatsApp status, square or portrait for Instagram, wide for Facebook.
- Pick a gradient, a solid colour, or upload your own background image and darken it a little so the text stays readable.
- Choose Nastaliq or Naskh, set the text colour and size, and press Download PNG.
Features
- Four common social media sizes.
- Eight ready gradients, a solid colour and your own background image.
- Automatic fitting: if the text is long, the size shrinks so that it stays inside the picture.
- Text shadow, a thin frame and an optional small website mark.
Tips for a good poster
Keep the text short; two to six lines is usually enough. Use strong contrast between text and background, white on dark or dark on light. If you use a photograph, darken it so that letters do not disappear into busy areas. Nastaliq looks graceful but needs room, so give it a larger image and fewer words. Look at the preview on your phone before you post.
Copyright and credit
Poems, couplets and quotes belong to their writers. Use text you have written yourself, text from the public domain, or text you have permission to share, and credit the writer. For backgrounds, use your own photographs or images you are allowed to use; pictures taken from the internet may be protected. The tool does not provide any poetry or pictures.
Fonts and privacy
To draw Urdu properly, this page loads the Noto Nastaliq Urdu, Amiri and Noto Naskh Arabic fonts from Google Fonts when it opens. The fonts are the only outside request. If you are offline or the fonts cannot load, the tool uses a font from your device, and the poster may look different.
Limitations
The tool draws text as a picture, so the downloaded image cannot be edited later. Very long text becomes small. Decorative effects are simple on purpose. The exact look of Urdu letters depends on the font, and rare marks may not display in every font.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which size should I choose for WhatsApp status?
Choose the tall 1080×1920 size, which fills a phone screen.
Can I use my own picture as the background?
Yes. Upload it and darken it with the slider. Use only pictures you have the right to use.
Why does my Urdu look different from the preview on another device?
