Download photos from memory card to iPhone 15-16/iPad/iPad Pro for iOS 13 or later user.

Files app (iOS 13 or later)

The Files app is the main app that can transfer files between your memory card to your iPhone and iPad.

Your iPhone data is on “My iPhone” and the memory card data is on “Untitled” (or “NONAME”, which is the name of your memory card).

You can view data and transfer data between the memory card and iPhone.

Files app manager can manage not only videos and photos, but also music, PDF, Word, or Excel, etc.

1. Insert the memory card into the reader. Turn on the iPhone and iPad and connect the reader to the Lightning port.

2. On iPhone and iPad, open the “Files” app. You can view files in your memory card. You can view most files like jpg, mp3, word, excel, ppt etc. If you can see the files but cannot open them, you may need to download a third-party app to read the file.

3. You can delete files or copy and paste files from memory card to your iPhone or iPad. Or send files from iPhone or iPad to memory card.

4. If you can see the data, but are not able to open it, you need to download a third-party app to open it.

What can I do if I don’t see anything on my iPhone 15/16 series?

1. Don’t worry if you don’t see anything. The app will not pop up automatically, please access the “Files” app. Then you will see “On My iPhone” which is the data on your iPhone. If you connect a Cf card, or SD card or TF card or Ms Card to your iPhone through this adapter, “Untitled” or “NONAME” will be displayed under “On My iPhone”. “Untitled” or “NONAME” is the default name for most memory cards. If your memory card was named “ABC”, you will see “ABC” there. Just tap “ABC” and you’ll see what’s inside your memory card.

2. When you enter the “ABC” folder, you have three choices at the bottom of the screen. “Recent”, “Shared” and “Browse”, make sure you select “Browse”. The other two choices are not what’s on your memory card.

3. If there is no “Files” app, please download it from App Store. “Files” is an app in your iPhone, usually you don’t need to download it.

4. If you still don’t see anything, make sure the memory card is properly inserted into the slot. If you don’t know how to insert the memory card, you can watch the video. Memory card must be Fat32 or exFat format. If NTFS, iPhone won’t recognize it.

5. You can directly view most of the files like jpg, MP3, word, Excel, PDF etc. and read them without any problem. However, if you can see some data there but cannot open it, then you need to download a third-party app to read that file. This is what is happening in your computer, if you don’t have an MP3 player, even if you have an MP3 file in your computer, you click on it and it won’t play.
